In March we honored a generation we are rapidly saying goodbye to, our WWII Veterans. They were honored in portraits by James Gill, pictures taken by Jim Hauge; a WWII Veteran, when he revisited France & Normandy Beach, memorabilia loaned to us by Wisconsin Veterans Museum and collector/reenactor Troy Buddenhagen. This exhibit really showed the strength, pride, intelligence and bravery of the men and women that served during this era. Everyone that visited seemed to leave, learning something new and with a better understanding of what their families had endured. If you know a WWII Veteran make it a point to see them today and thank them for all they have done, you may not get another chance. |
