Learning Center Sign Submissions

The Highground is accepting submissions for signage to be placed in front of the Learning Center.  Please submit your proposals.

 

Balbin Submission

1-LC-Book design;each book encompassing pertinent information about the branches of the service. For the visually impaired a page of each book can be done in brail. Another example of books is in design (2) LC- Writing, Reading , learning design. Books have many possibilities that we can discuss if you are interested in this concept.

2-LC-Writing, Reading, Learning design; represents the importance of documenting history for the present - future generations, and reading for knowledge and understanding. This design can stand alone without the lower books.

3-LC-Writing, Reading, Teaching design; encompasses design #2 with the inclusion of a male figure and young adult pointing to the Learning Center . The importance of family and humanity is revealed through the writing, reading, teaching and the learning of history for healing, pride and respect.

 

4-LC- Family Teaching and Learning History design; shows the important roles that adults play in the guidance, mentoring, teaching of history for understanding, compassion, healing, and National integrity. The same two figures are pointing to the Learning Center.

 

This is an image of the Hayward Library sculpture, titled, Books Pollinate the Mind. It is an example of a book sculpture in stainless steel. It has words inscribed on the main page and the Wisconsin State flower, the Wood Violet as the theme.
