Quilters At Work Again

|
Barbara Soback, Unity, WI is still quilting! In February, Barbara brought The Highground the beautiful tie quilt, as you see her pose with Kirk Rodman on the deck. She promised to come again with another patriotic quilt. True to her promise, Barbara and two of her seven sisters came to The Highground in May with this gorgeous quilt! All eight sisters, Isabelle Brenner, Barbara Soback, Lila Thayer, Linda Sterken, Jennifer Schutte, Cindy Hayes, Mary Jane Tracy and Carolyn Smazel contributed towards the purchase of the quilt material for to sew. Julie Haas did the freearm quilting of the finished quilted squares. Both quilts will fit a queen sized bed!
Watch the website for future raffle events (or make an offer The Highground cannot resist). These would be wonderful quilts to have in your home!
Thank you Barbara for all your work and remembering The Highground during your sewing projects!

Prince Building Systems LLC Helps The Highground
|
A
wonderful WWII exhibit came to The Highground for November and
December, arriving early and larger than expected. Thanks to Prince
Building Systems LLC in Neillsville, The Highground was able to store
the exhibit crates at the Prince facility until needed. Bernie Gustke
was generous in coordination and helpful in unloading the crates and
loading them with Highground volunteers when it came time to deliver
them for set up at the Learning Center.
Thank
you Prince Building Systems LLC for your facility and generosity.
Also, Thank you VOLUNTEERS for your help in moving the display
in/out/set-up and tear down upon its completion. Over 600 students came
from area schools to experience the display while at The Highground
Learning Center.
