Sunday, January 31st - Volunteer at the Winter Bowl for the Military Working Dog Tribute
Noon – 2:30pm – Rose Bowl Lanes, Marshfield, WI
Help with Event Set-Up & Take-Down, Bowling registration, Raffles, Silent Auctions, Prize Give-aways
Tuesday, March 15 – Sign Up to be a Porch Greeter at the Porch Greeter Lunch!
Noon – Apple Valley Bar ‘N Restaurant, Neillsville
(Porch Greeters greet Highground visitors April – October.
Each greeter picks one or more days a month from 10am – 3pm)
Saturday, March 26 –Volunteer at The “Half is Good Enough for Me” Half-Marathon & 5K
Help with Registrations, set up – take down & along the race course 6:30am - Noon
Saturday, April 16 – Park cars, greet visitors & help during the ceremony at the Legacy Stone Placement
– 11am –3pm
Wed. April 20 – Sat. April 23 – Help with Highground projects during Spring Work Week. Join the team of
volunteers that keep The Highground a beautiful and healing place to visit for thousands of visitors each year. Enjoy the camaraderie, make new friends and be served a delicious lunch each day provided by area restaurants, businesses & The Highground’s famous “Sweet Ladies”.
Saturday, May 14 -Help park cars, greet visitors and more for the Helicopter & Military Vehicle Expo and
Two Legacy Stone Placement ceremonies – 8am – 3pm
Monday, May 30 – Volunteers needed to help with the Memorial Day Honor Ride Motorcycle Rally &
Highground Memorial Day Ceremony. Many areas to help including: registration, lunch preparation, car parking, greeting visitors, ceremony set up & take down. Volunteers needed to read the names of WI KIA/MIAs. Something to do from 7am – 3pm!
Saturday, June 4 – Volunteers are Honored at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon! – Noon
Saturday, June 11 - Park cars, greet visitors & help during the ceremonies at the Korean Stone & Legacy Stone
Placements – 8am – 3pm
Saturday, June 25 – Park cars, greet & shuttle visitors and more during Freedom Celebration Day & Fireworks.
Volunteers needed from 9am – after the Fireworks clean up approximately 11pm!
Monday, July 4 – Park cars, greet visitors, set up & take down for the Independence Day Program.

Saturday, July 9 - Help park cars, greet visitors & volunteer during the ceremony at the Legacy Stone Placement

Monday, July 18 – Escort the Wall of Remembrance to The Highground from Southern WI
July 19 – 25 – Volunteers are needed all day, every day during Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home!
Many, Many things to be done from Parking Cars, shuttling & greeting visitors, feeding volunteers, clean-up, ceremony help, veterans needed for 24-hour watch of Wall of Remembrance & Persian Gulf Tribute…and much more!
Saturday, August 6 - Help park cars, greet visitors & volunteer during the ceremony at the Legacy Stone
Placement – 8am – 11:30am
Sunday, August 7 – Welcome Home the bicycle riders of the 32nd Annual Highground Bike Tour! – Noon
Volunteers are also needed to help at gathering site, bicyclist lunch, setting up & take down of ceremony.
Help needed from 9am – 2pm
Friday, August 19 - Help park cars, greet visitors at the opening ceremony for The Ride to Remember
Motorcycle Rally– 4:30pm – 6pm
Saturday, August 20 - Volunteers needed to help with the Ride to Remember Motorcycle Rally & Ceremony
Many areas to help including: registration, lunch preparation, car parking, greeting visitors, ceremony set up & take down and more. Volunteers needed from approximately 9am – 4pm
Saturday, September 10 - Help park cars, greet visitors & volunteer during the ceremony at the Legacy Stone &
Meditation Stone Placements – 8am – 3pm
Tues. Sept. 27 & Wed. Sept 28 – Volunteers needed to lead student groups to the many presentations & feed
volunteers lunch during Diversity Days! – Both days – 8:30am – 3pm
Saturday, October 1 - Volunteers needed to help with the Fall Fest Car & Motorcycle Show, Chili Cook-Off &
Bake Sale / Legacy Stone Placements. Many areas to help including: Car & Motorcycle Show registration, Chili Cook-Off & Bake Sale set up & take down. car parking, greeting visitors, ceremony set up & take down and more. Volunteers needed from approximately 7am – 4pm. Enter Your Chili and/or Vehicle!
Tues. Oct. 4 & Wed. Oct. 5 – Give area 5th Grade students a tour of The Highground during 5th Grade Days.
Contact us earlier to learn the tour! The days run 8:30am – 3pm
Saturday, October 8th - Volunteer at The “Other Half” Half-Marathon & 5K

Wed. Oct. 19 & Thurs. Oct 20 – Join us as we tackle projects to get The Highground ready for Winter inside and
