2010 Porch Greeter Kick-Off Luncheon

 

2010 Friends of The Highground Dinner

Fifty-six volunteers were invited to attend the Friends of The Highground Dinner at Fannies Supper
Club on February 20.   Friends of The Highground Awards were presented to volunteers for their outstanding
dedication and generous support of the programs and projects of The Highground  in 2009.

Pink Van Gorden (left) was presented with the Spirit of The Highground Award for truly making a difference
in the lives of many and going the extra mile.  Mayor Diane Murphy (lower left) received a plaque on behalf
of the City of Neillsville for its contribution to The Highground's Learning Center in the amount of $1,500.

Thanks to all who make The Highground a place for all of us.   Volunteers and contributors are the heart of
The Highground.

 

2010 Volunteer Appreciation Potluck

On January 30 The Highground celebrated all the volunteers who are the heart of our veterans park.   Everyone enjoyed a fantastic potluck supper, great entertainment by the Neillsville High School Choir and a fun white elephant auction.  Over $900.00 was raised and donated to the Clark County Department of Aging Food Pantry.

The Bronze Level President Awards were presented to Jim Hauge, Ken Jennings and Jerry Smith who volunteered between 50 – 100 hours of service during 2009.  

The Highground Volunteer Awards were presented to Merle Bartsch, Cindy Boon, Kathryn Droste, Bill Flemal, Larry Genteman, Al and Terri Johnson, Louie Kessler, Skip Klabon, Dick O’Brien, Jim Ottman, Rory Schutte, Don Streiff and Ron and Nona Zepplin for their volunteer service.
